Conkouati sanctuary & reserve, CONGO.
The Conkouati-Douli National Park is a UNESCO recognised coastal national park in the Republic of the Congo. It is also the home of HELP Congo’s sanctuary. There, volunteers fight against poaching and deforestation and collect, take care of, and release orphaned chimpanzees from captivity. The apes are also studied for social behavior, feeding habits, interaction with other animals and other groups of chimpanzees.
